Top 10 Moments of the PRO 14

After 10 matches, Glasgow Warriors and Leinster top their respective conferences, with Zebre and Southern Kings sitting at the foot.

There have been 434 tries, 3,321 points scored and just 1 draw throughout the opening stages of the season.  

Here are our top 10 moments thus far in the 2018/19 Guinness PRO 14:

10. Southern Kings shock Glasgow Warriors (Round 4)

Southern Kings impressed early by scoring 31 unanswered points until the hour mark 

A late fightback wasn’t enough and Kings secured a rare win over Glasgow Warriors 

9. Scarlets get pay-back on Leinster (Round 2)

Tries from Ken Owens and Gareth Davies gave Scarlets a narrow lead

Rhys Ruddock’s late score wasn’t enough and the game ended 23-21 as Scarlets get pay-back over Leinster

8. Matawalu hat-trick v Ospreys (Round 8)

A standout performance from Niko Matawalu who scores 3 tries to beat Ospreys 29-20

Hanno Dirksen scored late on but Glasgow Warriors held on for the win

7. Cardiff Blues 32-33 Leinster (Round 1)

Two tries each for Rey Lee-Lo and Jason Harries gave the home side the lead

But a late try from Bryan Byrne and a conversion from Ross Bryne gave Leinster the win 

6. Munster put 9 tries past Ulster (Round 5)

A demolition job from Munster as they secure a BP in the first half

5 more tries in the second half gave them a 64-7 victory

5.  Jordan Williams try of the season contender (Round 3)

Brilliant solo effort from Jordan Williams for a consolation try 

Leinster win comfortably 52-10 with an impressive performance 

4. Cheetahs 39-39 Ulster (Round 4)

A late Henry Speight try saved Ulster to give them a draw

A total of 10 tries in a thrilling match for the neutrals

3. Rory Scannell’s 50m match winning kick (Round 7)

With the score at 22-24 and nothing left on the clock, Rory Scannell slots a 50m penalty to give his side the win 

The game ends 25-24 to Munster in dramatic fashion 

2. Glasgow defeat Scarlets with 14-men (Round 10)

A red card after just 18 minutes for Glasgow Warriors didn’t phase them one bit

Despite late tries from the visitors, Glasgow Warriors held on for a 29-20 win

1. Zebre’s comeback v Cardiff Blues (Round 3)

Cardiff Blues score 3 tries in 10 minutes and lead 21-7 at half time

Zebre fight back and score 2 late tries to win the match in an exciting ending
